The Sex Listings database at CRUISING for SEX is easily our most popular feature. It has been the heart and soul of our website since we started all this 11 years ago. Some view these listings as nothing more than a long list of every known cruisy rest area, toilet or beach in the world, and for many that is fine. Over the years, though, we've discovered that just sitting down with them and reading them can be a huge turn-on and often worth more than a few laughs. We get some amazing insight into our world by reading what guys think about their local cruising scene and the men who frequent it.

For years, the Sex Listings were nothing more than html pages, each one personally edited by your's truly. It was hard work because, of course, we were almost always behind since the tips and updates come in on a daily basis. Back in the late 90's we switched all the Sex Listings into a database format, an enormous task that may still count as the biggest and most expensive thing we've done here at CRUISING for SEX. Since then, the listings have grown incredibly fast and though periodically we may fall behind in updating them, Gabe is almost always up-to-date with the latest additions. Making changes, presumably improvements to the listings is something we've wanted to do for a very long time. We're about to make some changes, but before we get started, I wanted to consult with you, our users, to find out what changes you'd like to see made to the Sex Listings.

Of course if you prefer, you can write us directly by email at keith@cruisingforsex.com. No idea is too weird. No suggestion too big or too small. Chances are pretty good that between Gabe and I, we may have already considered most changes, but since the listings are such an essential part of why men keep coming back to us, it wouldn't be right to make these changes without first getting your feedback.

Among the things we're considering, here are a few:

1. creating a quick voting system, allowing anyone to rate a particular place. The end result would be something like a star system that would give maybe 5 stars to the best bookstore in town, and 1 star to the worst.
2. bringing together Message Board forums with the Sex Listings so there can be greater interaction. A good deal of you post quick news and ask questions via the Message Board about information contained within the Sex Listings, and yet these two parts of our website don't link directly. Should we change that and if so, how?
3. noting the username of the person who writes the review for any Sex Listings as a way to judge the likely validity of anyone's comments.
4. adding a mapping service such as Google Maps to better locate listings based on a map.

These are just a few ideas Gabe and I have discussed and there is already a long list including new categories we plan on adding to the listings database and lots of minor features that might enhance them.
