Well, “nothing” is debatable. The Senate took care of its own, which it always does unless of course you’re caught having sex with someone of the same gender. Then you’re shunned and pressured to resign (ask Larry Craig) -- there are certainly no standing ovations from your fellow Senators, like Vitter received. And though I’ve said it before let me just make clear that I don’t care how our public servants conduct their sex lives. There is no reason for prostitution to remain illegal but if the government insists then at least apply the fucking laws evenly. There’s something wrong when the justification for making something a crime is so someone isn't victimized but then the only person you punish is the so-called victim.
